Update

Corona Yacht Club
at Rancho De Los Suenos

Corona Yacht Club at Rancho de los Suenos (which means "ranch of dreams") was built in Coachella 17 years ago by the son of Charles Luckman, architect of LAX. Originally a citrus ranch, the lagoon was built as an irrigation reservoir. Corona Yacht Cklub now operates as an event venue, working ranch and palm tree nursery.

Weather
Coachella Valley and Palm Springs in November

Expect high 70s to low 80s during the day and low 50s to high 40s during the evening. Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley frequently receive high winds so bring a light coverup.

Update - get on the bus!
Don't drink and drive! We are providing a private shuttle bus to and from the venue. The shuttle bus leaves at 3:30pm from the Hilton hotel (see below) and holds up to 56 passengers. If you don't make it on, you'll have to cab it or flip a coin to be the DD.

After the wedding, the shuttle bus will make two trips back to the Hilton. The first is at 9:45pm if you want to leave early. The second, and final, trip is at 11:30pm.

Double check your hotel check-in time if you are arriving Saturday. Most hotel check-in times are 3-4pm, AFTER the shuttle bus departs. We recommend requesting an early check-in time or arriving before check-in and checking your bags with the front desk.

From Los Angeles?
Palm Springs is just over 100 miles East of Los Angeles, approximately 2 hours of drive time. Take the 10 east until Highway 111 and head south into town. You all have iPhones anyway, so figure it out ;)

Not from Los Angeles?
Palm Springs International Airport (airport code PSP) is located only 3 miles from the hotel and downtown Palm Springs.

There are multiple rental car agencies located at the airport. It is highly advisable to rent a vehicle during your stay.

Getting to the venue
Corona Yacht Club is located in the city of Coachella, approximately 27 miles east of Palm Springs. There is ample free on-site parking. See directions for how to get there.

Boutique Hotels

If you are looking for something a little more unique, consider staying at one of Palm Spring's many boutique hotels. We have a couple of favorites:

Colony Palms is located just north of downtown Palm Springs and has hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Each room has a unique bungalow feel inside a beautiful desert setting.

The Movie Colony's mid-century architecture makes it a photo-worthy destination alone. Only blocks from Colony Palms, this hotel has also been host to many swing-era celebrity.

ACE Hotel. Located just down the road from the Holiday Inn, ACE hotel is a very popular destination for the hipster elite.

Riviera is a swank and classy resort-hotel; consistently ranking at the top of many travel destination websites.

Viceroy Palm Springs features rooms and interiors designed by Kelly Wearstler, gorgeous mountain views and 3 pools.

The Parker Palm Springs, part of Le Meridien, features gorgeous grounds, Jonathan Adler-designed interiors, and the Palm Springs Yacht Club Spa (PSYC).

Vacation rental properties
Palm Springs is famous for its mid-century modern architecture. Many homes are available as fully-furnished vacation properties. This is a great option for large families.

Your presence at the celebration is present enough, and truthfully, we mostly have everything we need. However, if you'd like to give us a gift, we have set up a Honeyfund honeymoon registry to help us have an amazing time on our honeymoon.

Honeyfund registry
Crate&Barrel registry
Macy's registry

We also love to give back: We are donating 10% of our Honeyfund honeymoon registry to the DEPDC, a non-profit, community-based NGO working in Thailand to prevent the trafficking of women and children into the sex industry and exploitative child labour. DEPDC offers free education, vocational training and full time accommodation for children to help achieve these goals.

This is the process of making the wedding invitation using the Gocco (pronounced GO-KO) printer. This print required two passes, two screens, four bulbs, three colors and color blocking. The invitations were printed on 5x7 cards using the PG-11 model. Sadly, all Gocco printers were discontinued in 2008, but you can still find supplies and printers on ebay.

The name ‘print gocco’ is derived from the Japanese word gokko (ごっこ), loosely translated as “make-believe play”. More information about Gocco.
